The UT-UBGI project aims to drive tangible urban transformation by developing, planning, and assessing blue-green infrastructure, leveraging an inter- and transdisciplinary approach that integrates academia and practitioners.
The work package assigned to KIT-ITAS handles explicitly the collection of data on tree physiology in urban environments. In total 21 trees on KIT Campus South will be sampled and analyzed in 2025.

Tasks:
• Support in maintenance of tree sensors,
• Data preparation and management
• Image analysis of fine root structures of urban trees
Personal qualifications:
• Must be enrolled/matriculated as B.Sc. or M.Sc. student in a higher educational institution in Germany
• Fitness and willingness to work in field conditions
some tree sensors may be installed in a height of about three meters
Ability to ride a bicycle
• Interest, if possible skills, in tree and vegetation assessment
• English or German language skills (B1 equivalent)
• Willingness to work in a team
• Basic skills in geoinformation systems (QGIS) and MS Office
• Independent, organized, and reliable working attitude and flexibility
