The aim of this position is to carry out and further develop research projects in the field of energy-relevant materials using electron and x-ray spectroscopy. This includes carrying out experiments, maintaining experimental setups, evaluating and interpreting data and publishing the results. Your area of responsibility includes in detail:
You have a university degree (Diplom (Uni)/Master) in physics, chemistry or materials science with a doctorate completed within the last 5 years. You have experience in working with ultra-high vacuum equipment and in research with X-ray and electron spectroscopy methods. The position requires a strong ability to work in a team and experience in coordinating project teams as well as initiative, determination and the ability to work under pressure. You also have a very good command of written and spoken English.
Salary category 13 TV-L, depending on the fulfillment of professional and personal requirements.
