Description
The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role: • You develop concepts and implement prototypes for the usage of IoT protocols (such as Thread, Matter, MQTT, or OPC UA) on embedded hardware running Zephyr. • You evaluate these prototypes with respect to key characteristics from the envisaged application area (such as safety, security, throughput, and usability). • You can choose to focus on connectivity aspects, the networking stack of the Zephyr operating system or the safety/security perspective.
Qualifications for the role - Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field - C/C++ development, particularly in Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) like Zephyr or FreeRTOS - Familiarity with IoT communication protocols - Prior exposure to industrial safety/ security standards, such as IEC 61508 and IEC 62443, are a plus - Fluency in English and collaboration through open communication in the team - Self-sufficient working and customer-/solution-oriented thinkingWe believe in fairness, so interns who join us will benefit from our expertise as they expand their own knowledge.
