Research Assistant (m/f/d) in the Philosophy research group (PhilETAS)

Beschreibung

The position includes supporting activities for research, teaching or general organizational matters. The position is initially advertised for 20-40 hours per month and a duration of 6 months. The successful applicant will work as part of the PhilETAS research group. There are options to extend the working time and the contract duration.
Research
• Reading and analyzing academic literature, particularly related to topics such as energy ethics, environmental ethics, and climate ethics; philosophy and ethics of technology; geoethics; engineering ethics.
• Writing excerpts
• Literature review
• Editing academic websites (ResearchGate, PhilPeople, Academia.edu etc.)
• Managing, creating, and updating references with Zotero
• Creating graphs, as well as data and conceptual visualizations
• Video editing
Supporting academic publications
• Proof reading
• Support for documentation and monitoring, e.g. monitoring progress and deadlines
Teaching
• Support in compiling literature for teaching
General
• Supporting the organization of workshops and conferences
Qualifications:
Applicants need to be students at a German university in a BA or MA program. Applicants may hold a BA, but not an MA. Applicants need to have an address within 100km of Karlsruhe.
We expect reliable and thorough work and a keen interest in philosophical questions, especially related to the previously mentioned topics. We look for someone that works independently. Good English skills are expected, as the working language in the project and research group is English. Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
