Student assistant in the field of machine learning

We are looking for a motivated student assistant to support our interdisciplinary project, "How is AI Changing Science?" The project focuses on the application of AI in scientific research, specifically through Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for both speech and text data.

Responsibilities
- Implementation of scripts and tooling for preprocessing data for machine learning
- Implementation and training of machine learning models
- Maintenance of the project website and development of demo applications

We expect a workload of up to 40 hrs / month, with an initial duration of 4 months (can be extended).

Requirements
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Basic knowledge of PyTorch
- Basic understanding of neural networks
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
