HiWi at the Institute of Nanotechnology, CHEMISTRY - Quantum Mechanical Calculations

Description

We are looking for a HiWi for the Institute of Nanotechnology for a limited period of 6 months, 40 hours/month starting May 1, 2025.

Your tasks
Performing quantum mechanical calculations (density functional theory and time-dependent density functional theory) of molecules and their chemical reactivity after light absorption; analyzing molecular orbitals, UV-Vis absorption and general photochemistry.

Your qualification
- A bachelor's degree in chemistry or physics
- English language skills
- Knowledge in the field of theoretical chemistry or quantum mechanical calculations
- Good knowledge of organic and/or physical chemistry is an advantage
