Description
At CV:HCI lab, a student assistant position is to be filled as early as 01.05.2025 (open until filled). The participating student will join a long-term project to develop mobility assistance systems to help people with visual impairments. In the first stage, the system is supposed to help users correctly perceive and interact with their surroundings. The task is to convert the system from an Nvidia platform to an iOS device, as well as develop the iOS user interface application. In the next stage, other functions will be included, such as object recognition, navigation, etc.
What you do:● Model training and conversion from PyTorch to CoreML
● System deployment on iPhone devices
● iOS user interface app development and function integrationWhat is needed:
● Good English skills and interest in the topic of the project
● Hands-on experience in iOS development and Swift programming
● Proficient experience in PyTorch/TensorFlow framework and Python/C++ language (is a plus)Further Information:
● Start: May 2025 at the earliest
● Hours: 30-40 hours/month (initially for 3 months, extension is possible and desired)
