About the job

As a junior PCB layout and EMC application engineer, you will work with MPS standard analog products. You will be supporting evaluation and component validation board design as well as motor drivers, magnetic sensors and audio amplifiers EMC compliance testing.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

- IC validation and characterization, optimization and automatization of existing measurements and test concepts. Characterization of key product parameters using laboratory instruments (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, pattern generator...).
- PCB layout of evaluation boards, characterization/validation boards and system demonstrator.
- EMC performance testing.
- Collaborate with technical marketing engineers, design engineers, application engineers to verify MPS products regarding EMC compliance. Create the necessary designs and collaterals. Identify and drive device improvements.
- Characterize device thermal performance, publish guidelines.
- Data analysis, evaluation and presentation of measurement data.

Qualifications
- First experience in the space of switched mode power supplies, loads switches, linear regulator, motor drivers etc.
- Hardware bench experience in power electronics (including PCB design).
- EDA tool knowledge (OrCAD PCB design software solution)
- Proficiency with bench test equipment (i.e., power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes etc ...)
- Programming experience (Labview, Python, C, C#)
- Motivated, open minded, rigorous, out-of-the-box thinker.
- Able to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions.
- Able to take the initiative and drive for results.
- Fluent communication skills in English.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
