Description

Robots are increasingly deployed for autonomous tasks across various domains. Perception is a key enabler of such autonomy, allowing robots to sense and understand their environment. Event-based sensors have emerged as a promising technology due to their high temporal resolution, low latency, and low power consumption, making them ideal for real-time robotic applications.

Background
We are looking for students who are:
• Enrolled in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related fields
• Interested in robotics, with hands-on experience in working with robots and/or sensors (visual, audio, or tactile)
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python
• Familiar with ROS
• (Optional) Experienced with machine learning or deep learning frameworks

Your Tasks and Research Challenges
• Conducting research on event-based sensors for robotics
• Programming walking robots
• Testing and experimenting with sensors
• Developing and implementing code for sensor integration
